Darren Carthy wins Emering Scholar Award

Darren Carthy wins Emerging Scholar Award at UK & Ireland Engineering Education Research Network

At the 6th Annual Symposium of the UK & Ireland Engineering Education Research Network in Portsmouth on November 2nd 2018, Darren Carthy (DIT) received the Emerging Scholar Award.

 

Darren Carthy, PhD Researcher at DIT, presented his paper entitled 'The development of a psychometric test to align engineering students to a particular professional role' to the particpants of the UK & IE EERN.

 

Due to the excellent quality of his research, Darren was awarded the Emerging Scholar Award by the EERN Board. This award is aimed at young engineering education professionals who distinguished themselves by the quality of their work. Congratulations!

 

In total, 47 research papers were presented and the symposium was attended by 120 participants. The PREFER project was well represented with four researchers: Gillian Saunders (TU Delft), Mariana Leandro Cruz (TU Delft), Darren Carthy ( DIT) and Brian Bowe (DIT).
