Kathleen Verheyden is the driving force behind the administrative and financial follow-up of the PREFER project. Thanks to her efforts, the timesheeting process is smoothly organised. Please read her story below!
Kathleen graduated from KU Leuven in 2012 with a Master in Communication Studies. Afterwards she enrolled for a Master of Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Arts and obtained the degree in 2013. In both degrees, her master thesis focused on film and it’s relation to the other arts. More specifically, she wrote the first one about Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey and the film adaptations that have been made and the second one about the designs of Saul Bass’s motion-picture title sequences and film posters.
After her studies at KU Leuven, Kathleen completed her studies with a Postgraduate degree in Marketing Management at the EHSAL Management School and started working as an administrative assistant at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering Technology of KU Leuven in September 2014. In addition to the regular administrative duties, she worked as the dean's PA and supervised the administrative processes of the faculty doctoral school.
From 2014 to 2017, she was responsible for the financial administration of the Erasmus+ project readySTEMgo and she now fulfills that same task for the PREFER project.
As of January 1st 2019, she will be the administrative coordinator of the Faculty of Engineering Technology, leading a team of three people.
The PREFER project is cofunded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
